Arrival by Air
Most international participants arrive at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (ATH), which serves direct flights from major European, North American, Middle Eastern, and Asian cities.
From the airport to the city centre (Plaka), the following options are available:

Participants travelling via Greek islands or other Mediterranean ports may arrive at Piraeus Port. From Piraeus to central Athens:
- Metro Line 1 (Green Line): Direct connection to Monastiraki (approx. 25 minutes).
- Taxi: Approx. 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Arrival by Rail or Intercity Bus
Participants arriving from within Greece can use:
- Larissis Railway Station (Athens Central Station) for national rail connections.
- Intercity Bus Terminals (KTEL) for long-distance bus routes.
From both locations, metro or taxi connections provide easy access to the city centre and Plaka.
Local Transportation in Athens
