"THEODOROS PAPAGIANNIS, HISTORY AND DIACHRONY" EXHIBITION

Tuesday 08 Φεβρουαρίου 2022
"Theodoros Papagiannis, History and Diachrony" exhibition

The exhibition "Theodoros Papagiannis, History and Diachrony" has been inaugurated at the premises of the Museum of Archaeology and Art History of the School of Philosophy (2nd floor, room 210). The exhibition is a tribute to Theodoros Papagiannis, the sculptor and professor of the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), who has made a great contribution to Greek sculpture for more than 50 years, combining both popular culture and the decorative craftsmanship of his homeland Epirus, along with Modernism of the last century. "Theodoros Papagiannis, History and Diachrony" attempts to open a dialogue among different cultural periods and focuses on the continuous evolution of Art. Essentially, the prehistoric, classical, and Byzantine exhibits of the museum get into a conversation with the artist's figures.

The exhibition will be open till March 25, 2022, from Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 16.00.
